Pewaukee Organization Helping Hurricane Survivors Reunite with Their Pets

Doobert.com, a local Pewaukee animal rescue transport organization, is working with 17 other national organizations to help victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma reunite with their pets.

Pewaukee, WI, September 23, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Doobert.com, a local animal rescue organization with national reach, is working in conjunction with Best Friends, PetCo Foundation, Maddie's Fund and over a dozen other national organizations to help victims of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma reunite with their pets through support of a common site with information for owners called FindMyLostPet.com.

The Doobert transportation technology will play an important part by helping connect volunteers with those needing transportation, to drive them an impromptu animal shelter at the NRG Arena in Houston for animals that were rescued after the storm. There are hundreds of recovered animals in the NRG Arena in Houston, waiting to be reunited with their families.

With the damage of Hurricane Harvey, many people do not have transportation due to vehicles destroyed in the floods. Doobert is proud to be providing the technology to help get these loving pet owners to the shelter to look for their pets in the hopes that they can be reunited.
