Mission Federal Credit Union Receives 2017 BBB Torch Award for Ethics

San Diego, CA, December 21, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving San Diego, Orange and Imperial Counties has named Mission Federal Credit Union as recipient of its prestigious 2017 BBB Torch Award for Ethics, category 500+ employees. The award recognizes Mission Fed for its strong commitment to integrity, customer service and community involvement.

Mission Fed is the largest, locally based financial institution exclusively serving San Diego County, with nearly $3.4 billion in assets, 30 local branches and more than 221,000 customers. Their nomination explored their organization in-depth based on the BBB criteria in areas of trust: from the top of the company, how they reinforce their ethics and values, unite their team, steer performance, and treasure their employees, customers, and community, as well as reinvest in the community.

“This is the second consecutive time that we’ve received the Torch Award, and in many ways, this time is even more rewarding,” said Debra Schwartz, President and CEO of Mission Fed. “This award recognizes Mission Fed’s ongoing commitment to ethical business practices for our customers, as well as our continual involvement with our local community. As a not-for-profit financial institution, Mission Fed focuses on helping our customers achieve their goals with ethical business practices in a culture that supports people helping people. The BBB Torch Award gives us the opportunity to share that message, and we’re very honored to accept the award on behalf of our customers, employees and community partners.
