Discovery Initiatives Announces Late Availability Deals for Holidays to China and India

Cirencester, United Kingdom, March 01, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Discovery Initiatives is pleased to announce the late availability of two unique expeditions.

The first holiday with only a few places left is the wild giant panda and rural study tour in China: (http://www.discoveryinitiatives.co.uk/discover/trip/China/Wild_Giant_Panda_and_Rural_Study_Tour). This tour to Sichuan and Shaanxi provinces aims to give a privileged insight into two panda reserves, which up until now have had little tourism. The itinerary allows unique viewing and trekking opportunities to track and view wild pandas in their natural habitat, as well as meeting with traditional rural communities, still practising their ancient agricultural methods, and meeting with the individuals fighting to ensure the survival of wilderness in China.

Justin Wateridge, MD of Discovery Initiatives, commented: “This trip will give you an alternative view of China that few travellers witness in a rapidly changing country. You stand a very good chance of seeing the Giant Panda in its natural habitat – an opportunity which few animal lovers could pass up.”

The trip is available on the following dates: 13th March to 26th March 2008 - Limited availability 3rd April to 16th April 2008 - Limited availability 27th November to 10th December 2008. Prices start at £2795 per person.

The second Discovery Initiatives trip to have limited availability is the Tiger study tour, located in Madhya Pradesh in India: (http://www.discoveryinitiatives.co.uk/discover/trip/India/Tiger_study_tours) Discovery Initiatives offer something different for those who want more than the ordinary tiger safari tour. Focusing on two well known Tiger reserves, Bandavgarh and then Panna, this trip aims to get the visitor involved in a small way in an ongoing wildlife research programme.

Justin Wateridge commented: “This trip offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to see the endangered tiger in its natural habitat. An additional benefit of the trip is that each group tour raises up to £900 for tiger conservation efforts.”

The dates of the trip are 9th March to 22nd March 2008 which has two places left, and 16th November to 29th November 2008. Prices start at £3345 per person.
