The collection, that features socks, shirts and a beanie is entirely made within a 150 mile radius of their headquarters.

Not only will Recover be creating 100% recycled and sustainable clothing and accessories from this move, sourcing everything from the recycled plastic, to upcycled cotton, to cut and sew and distribution, within a 150 mile radius of Charlotte, NC it will also help reduce their carbon emissions, something ingrained in their mission statement. In addition, Recover also aims to drive support for local jobs, education, and communities close to home.

“We’re based in North Carolina and so NC textiles are in our DNA,” said Recover Co-Founder, Bill Johnston. “Supporting our textile heritage and local communities is so important to us so we want to do everything we can to support our local economy.”

A sample of the products made in the USA are the Recover Woods Socks and the Recover Beanie. The Woods Sock is a 9” medium weight crew ideal for Fall. "Developing our Recover Local line not only minimizes the environmental footprint in making product, it also allows better quality control of the finished product as we're able to be more hands-on with the entire manufacturing process," Johnston adds.

An environmentally conscious company, Recover’s method of creating comfortable active apparel out of discarded plastic bottles and recycled cotton has resulted in a 35% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, 66% reduction in energy consumption, and 55% reduction in water consumption over their competition. They also don’t use dye in the creation of their shirts, opting instead to presort the plastic and cotton by color. For more on Recover, head to: https://recoverbrands.com/
