Joyce Kostelak Has Recently Been Recognized by Strathmore’s Who’s Who

Joyce Kostelak, of Colville, Washington, has recently been honored as a Strathmore’s Who’s Who 2018 Professional of the Year for her outstanding contributions and achievements in field of Art Education.

Joyce Kostelak studied the Russian style folk art Zhostovo with Boris Graffov, the Director of the School of Decorative Painting, and with many leading folk artists through the Society of Decorative Painting. For 38 years, Ms. Kostelak taught art at her own art shop as well as craft shops and art programs for the city of Cape Coral, Florida. Ms. Kostelak has traveled to Washington, Arizona, Missouri, Louisiana, and Pennsylvania to teach art. She works in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, watercolor pencils, and ink. Ms. Kostelak specializes in traditional ethnic folk art. Her Zhostovo Russian Folk Art was displayed in Atlanta, Georgia and she’s had articles published in Decorative Painter Magazine and other painting magazines. Ms. Kostelak is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters.
