Community Campus Takes Hold in Downtown New Milford, CT

Reis Learning Center and Education Without Walls Partner to Provide Comprehensive Education for Children.

New Milford, CT, September 07, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Education Without Walls (EWoW), a community-centered, student-led private school, along with Reis Learning Center (RLC), a 2018 Connecticut Entrepreneur Award winner, announced that they have joined together to provide full wrap around educational services for middle school and high school students in the area.

“Jessica and her fabulous staff bring exceptional educational support and results to EWoW. This is what we hope will be the first step in building a strong and united Community Campus here in downtown New Milford, integrating all of the downtown specialty schools to provide a truly holistic, unique, and individualized educational experience.” – Lockey Coughlin, Head of School EWoW

This partnership will provide children the ability to attend school at EWoW and flow seamlessly into a complimentary academic support program at RLC around the corner after school. This will insure each child, who chooses to use the full partnership, is enveloped in a complete learning experience. As studies such as Cohen, Kulik and Kulick 1982, Wasik and Slavin 1993, Invernizzi 2002 and IES 2009 show, when a school environment is combined with a tutoring experience the results are substantial improvement in a child’s educational outcomes. RLC will offer College Counseling, AP Programming, Sign Language, Mathematics instruction, and more to the EWoW student population.

“I am thrilled that RLC and EWoW will be collaborating this school year. Combining our unique educational approaches via our shared commitment to personalized teaching will offer a positive learning atmosphere for local students. I am constantly amazed by the resources downtown has to offer and so proud to work with yet another of my dynamic neighbors.” – Jessica Reis, Director RLC

Additionally, RLC will offer a selection of their award-winning programs at EWoW throughout the week: AP Psychology, Sign Language, Organization and Executive Functioning, and Language Arts, affording students the opportunity to work with curriculum intervention specialists in many aspects of their education.
