Houston, TX, September 26, 2018 --(PR.com
)-- Houston-based nonprofit organization Persistence is The Key is celebrating its first year in existence. Persistence is The Key’s founder Venisha Arnold founded the organization in October 2017 after speaking with a group of high school seniors and realizing there was a void. “In late 2016 I spoke with a group of high school seniors who asked me so many education-focused goal-oriented questions and one of those students in particular stood out to me because he was concerned about his chances of being able to attend law school and as you know I’m an attorney and so after my conversation with that young man and realizing there was a serious need I was determined to find a way I could assist and Persistence is The Key was born,” Arnold stated.
Persistence is The Key, focuses on promoting high academic achievement for students of all educational levels from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Arnold further states, “The goal of Persistence is The Key is long-term mentorship I want to have a mentor in place for every step of the educational process for our mentees, our mentors will be there until the mentee accomplishes their educational goal whether that’s graduation from culinary school or medical school.”
