Attorney-Led Legal Web Marketing Class by TwoDogBlog in Indianapolis Nov. 29
Indianapolis, IN, November 19, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Over 70 percent of people in the market for an attorney either find their lawyer online or research lawyers on the web before making a hiring decision. Still, many law firms have been slow to embrace these less traditional means of attracting clients. Two graduates of the Indiana University Maurer School of Law hope to change that with attorney-driven legal web marketing here in the Hoosier state, starting with an IndyBar CLE in late November.

"Attorneys are understandably frustrated by traditional online marketing methods that aren't tailored to the legal profession," explains Krista Duncan Black, an attorney and CEO of legal web marketing agency TwoDogBlog.℠

Black met Noblesville resident Heather Banner Kane in Bloomington in the 1990s. Life took the two in different directions after graduation, but each worked in the private practice of law, government services, and even publishing houses before reuniting at TwoDogBlog, where Kane now serves as Production Chief.

Kane enjoys combining her love of legal research and writing with her passion for helping a law firm expand its digital reach: “Providing informative, accurate, well-written copy for consumer-level readers helps a law firm become a resource for research before the hire, and we do that in a way that also increases the firm’s digital visibility.”

Although only marketing directly here for a few months, the company is a sponsor of the Indiana Paralegal Association and was a recent exhibitor at the Indiana State Bar Association's Annual Meeting in October in French Lick.

"It's always fun to show new clients their online rankings and high-profile search engine features, and I'm thrilled to have a great reason to come back to Indiana to visit friends and family more often," says Black.

Interested attorneys can earn continuing legal education ethics credit and learn more by registering for an IndyBar program to be given on November 29th: "Help Potential Clients Find Your Law Firm Online." The class will give attorneys an overview of methods they can use to enhance their online presence while discussing relevant Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct.
