"Cosmic Troubadour" Singer-Songwriter Gone Marshall Releases New 5 Track EP, "Argosy" Produced by Camerado Media

"Cosmic Troubadour" singer-songwriter Gone Marshall pivots from psychedelic grunge rock of his debut album, "The Crunch" towards alternative folk and alt country with his new 5 track EP, "Argosy," produced by Camerado Media

Los Angeles, CA, February 16, 2019 --(PR.com)-- Described as "spaced out cosmic troubadour whispering sardonic truths over a layered harmonic tsunami," singer-songwriter Gone Marshall pivots from distorted bluesy psychedelic rock of his debut album, "The Crunch" towards lyrical and alternative psych folk with his long-awaited 5 track EP, "Argosy," produced by Camerado Media.

Camerado, producer of compelling movies and media since the year 2000, has included music production in its range of activities. Known for producing film and movie soundtracks in the music area, Camerado has also released a string of EPs, singles and an album for alternative folk singer-songwriter Gone Marshall.

"My previous EP, 'Bad Guys' was released in 2018, and it ushered in my first real foray into acoustic territory after the heavier psychedelic grunge and distortion driven days of my first album, 'The Crunch.' So I wanted to follow up with a complimentary EP which heads down the alternative folk and acoustic path in a more lyrical and hooky way while still keeping a foot in the world of psychedelia. The result is 'Argosy.'"

Named after the rich medieval merchant ships which would ply the coasts of the Mediterranean and beyond, "Argosy" gives the listener five distinct tracks, with the majority of these ("Mystery Ride to Grandma's," "There Goes My Mind Again," and "Black Bridge Home") roaming meadows of psychedelic alternative folk and alt-country.

Amidst these is a pure psych trance track, "Living Large," which mingles the voices of Apollo astronauts (busy doing wingdings on the lunar surface in the lunar rover) with the sound of a frenetic Earthbound livestock auctioneer.

A touch of retro Latin finds its way into the mix as well, with "Somos Los Malos" ("We Are the Bad Guys"), the Spanish version of "Bad Guys" from the artist's previous eponymous release.

"Argosy" was recorded in Gone Marshall's home country (USA), and Southeast Asia, with some tracks laid down in Bangkok, Thailand and additional backup tracking in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Mixing was conducted by Johnny Novocain of Sherman Music, Long Island, NYC.

Gone Marshall anticipates at least one new EP in 2019, with a dozen new originals waiting in the wings for pruning and production.

In the meantime - as the ship sails - "Argosy" by Gone Marshall can be found on all major digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, Amazon Prime Music, Tidal, Bandcamp, and elsewhere, with a special cassette mixtape version available through direct contact with the artist.
