City of Norwalk Taps TFI Envision, Inc.

Norwalk, CT, July 10, 2019 --(PR.com)-- The City of Norwalk selected TFI Envision, Inc. to develop the collateral pieces for the new Carryout Bag Ordinance that takes effect July 8, 2019. The ordinance prohibits the use of plastic carryout bags and provides for a 10-cent charge for carryout bags made of paper. The ordinance applies to any person, business or nonprofit entity that sells or provides merchandise, goods, food and beverages, or materials operating in the City of Norwalk.

The creative team at TFI Envision created a colorful, graphic of a reusable bag filled with a selection of items that would have typically been put in a plastic bag at checkout, to help remind people that this is not just for the groceries you buy - it’s for everything. Set against a bright to dark blue background for maximum "visual pop," with the “Bring Your Own Bag” messaging in both English and Spanish. To ensure that the message was distributed throughout the City, TFI Envision developed a series of collateral materials that can be downloaded from the City of Norwalk website, including:
- 8.5” x 11” Flyers in both English and Spanish versions
- 11” x 14” Posters in both English and Spanish versions
- Bilingual Table Tent Cards

In addition, TFI Envision designed the bilingual Banners for the Exterior and Interior of the Norwalk Transit Buses, carrying the “Bring Your Own Bag” messaging daily throughout the City of Norwalk.

“We were delighted to be a part of this important initiative and are thrilled to see so many stores and restaurants displaying our design. It is an important step in reducing the fiscal and environmental impact of plastic waste in our community,” said Catherine Smith, TFI Envision’s Senior Communications Director.
