The International Casino Games Goes Huge

The International Casino Games III Cruise took place in the Mediterranean between 22 April and 29 April 2008 and proved once-again to be a huge success.

Belize City, Belize, May 14, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The cruise, containing 100 finalists, was the culmination of the six-month ICG III promotion run by Fortune Lounge and departed from Rome on 22 April and embarked on a 7-day visit of some of Europe’s most exotic cities. Along its journey, the cruise docked in Toulon (France), Tunis (Tunisia), Valetta (Malta), Medina (Sicily), Naples and then back in Rome on 29 April 2008.

Highlights included wine tasting in Toulon, and lunch in Monte Carlo, Carthage in Tunis, the famous ‘Old City’ Valetta, a fantastic seafood lunch in Medina, and Capri and Pompeii in Naples. The main event was the International Casino Games III finals.

The ICG III Final event came to a thrilling conclusion with an onboard slots tournament which saw all 100 finalists playing in a knock-out event, after which 10 went head-to-head for a share of €240,000 in cash.

The top four players all walked away from the event €50,000 richer, while the other six finalists shared the remaining 40,000.

Members from Fortune Lounge, who hosted the event aboard the cruise, agreed that the ICG III would be the benchmark for future ICG final events.

A brief History
The International Casino Games promotion and tournament is now an annual event and promotion at Fortune Lounge and was started back in 2005. The Final still carries the largest Casino cash prize-pool of €240,000 (US$384,000).

The first ICG Cruise was held in the Caribbean with a first prize of $250,000 cash. The second was held in the Mediterranean, also with a $250,000 first prize. This year, Fortune Lounge upped the prize-pool and provided more players with a chance at a grand prize. Finalists found the new prize-split far more compelling and it made the event more exciting throughout.
