Trenton, NJ, March 29, 2006 --(PR.com)-- New Jersey native, Dahntay Jones of the Memphis Grizzlies will host 50 students from Greenwood Elementary School at the Grizzlies/Nets game on Wednesday, March 29th. This event is one of many that are planned as part of his Foundation’s efforts to improve the quality of life for the youth in his community.

These deserving students will enjoy the game and dinner compliments of the Dahntay Jones Foundation, and have an opportunity to meet with Jones and his teammates immediately following the game.

Excited about the opportunity, Jones stated “When I became aware of the needs of the students at Greenwood Elementary School, I knew that I could make a difference. I always believed in the phrase each one teach one, and if I can expose just one kid to the opportunities that are before him, I’ve used my God given talent for the purpose in which it was given to me.” In addition to mentoring events planned for the students, the Foundation is committed to buying new books for next year.

The Foundation recently hosted the Light of the World Youth Ministry at the Grizzlies/Knicks game on 3/24 and supplies twenty tickets to each Grizzlies home game as part of their Tickets for Kids Program. The Dahntay Jones Foundation will also conduct a series of free basketball camps during the off-season.
