He was chosen as one of 5 finalists who will compete for the acclaimed title of “Maine Lobster Chef of the Year.”
“I am thrilled to be chosen as a finalist and it is a great opportunity to highlight Maine’s succulent lobster, “according to Murphy. “Maine’s has an amazing pool of culinary talent, so to be chosen to participate is a personal and career achievement. I am looking forward to the final competition on July 22nd at the Blaine House in Augusta.”
The competition co-sponsored by the Maine Lobster Promotion Council and Maine Food & Lifestyle Magazine include awards for “Best Overall,” “People’s Choice” and a “Maine Lobster Emerging Talent Award.” The winner not only receives an exclusive feature in Maine Food and Lifestyle Magazine and coverage on the Maine Lobster Promotion Council website www.lobsterfrommaine.com, they will represent the State of Maine at the Great American Seafood Cook-off taking place August 2-3rd in New Orleans.
