Bushikai Martial Arts Relocates to Frederick Sportsplex
The Bushikai Bugei Dojo, long recognized as a leader in the Classical Martial Arts of Japan, has reopened inside the Sportsplex at 1845 Brookfield Court in Frederick, Maryland.
Frederick, MD, July 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The Bushikai Bugei Dojo, founded in 1989 by Michael McGee, has moved from its headquarters on East Street to a beautiful new location inside the Frederick Sportsplex. They are now located on the second floor at 1845 Brookfield Court.
This new location boasts a full tatami mat safety floor - exactly the same as the flooring used in International and Olympic Judo competitions. There are separate men’s and women’s locker rooms and showers and a fitness room, located inside the facility. The facility also boasts an ample private lighted parking lot.
“The shower facilities and downtown location enable us to provide lunchtime classes for the professionals of Frederick. They can come in and train for an hour, catch a shower and get back to the office quickly,” says Harry Mackenzie, head instructor at the dojo. “It’s a great way to ease the daily stress.”
The Bushikai Bugei Dojo plans to expand its offerings of classes to include programs for children as young as three, as well as the number of classes offered per week. There is a parent’s observation area for those wishing to stay and watch their children’s classes.
“I’m really excited about this new dojo,” says Lara Williams. “I can't wait to start to training here.”
