New York, NY, September 02, 2026 --(PR.com)-- New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS), one of the Nation’s leading oncology practices, proudly announces the addition of hematologist-oncologist, Dr. Rebecca Zweifler. Beginning September 1, 2026, Dr. Zweifler will be practicing at NYCBS’s office located at 500 W 181st Street, 9th Floor, New York, NY 10033.

Dr. Zweifler places a strong emphasis on making complex medical information accessible to patients, explaining difficult concepts clearly, and encouraging questions throughout the care process. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she provides care to patients from a wide range of socioeconomic backgrounds.

Dr. Zweifler earned her Bachelor of Arts from Brown University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Lenox Hill Hospital, followed by a fellowship with Northwell Health’s Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program. She completed her Hematology Oncology Fellowship at Morristown Medical Center, where she also served as Chief Fellow.

Throughout her medical career, Dr. Zweifler has contributed to research examining cervical cancer screening, thyroid cancer among Hispanic patients, immunotherapy in older adults, and the use of artificial intelligence in oncology. Her work has resulted in peer-reviewed publications and research presentations. During her time as Chief Fellow, she also oversaw improvements in fellow education and the fellows clinic.
