EnviroSeal Launches OCX Platinum, the First High-Yield Sugar Foam
Quadrant Performance Materials introduces EnviroSeal OCX Platinum, a high-yield, open-cell spray foam combining coating-free simplicity with yields up to 19,000 board feet per set. It is USDA Certified Biobased, Certified PFAS-Free and GREENGUARD Gold Certified, expanding insulation options for builders and contractors.
McKinney, TX, September 09, 2026 --(PR.com)-- Quadrant Performance Materials (QPM) today announces the launch of EnviroSeal OCX Platinum, a new high-yield, open-cell spray polyurethane foam designed to expand the range of solutions available to builders and insulation contractors.
EnviroSeal OCX Platinum combines the exceptional yield of conventional open-cell products with the coating-free, fire-performance advantages of OCX technology, giving contractors another option to support the diverse performance, design and code-compliance goals of today’s building projects.
Engineered to yield up to 19,000 board feet per set, EnviroSeal OCX Platinum helps contractors increase productive output from each set and support efficient installation across a wide range of applications.
“For years, contractors had to make a trade-off,” said Kevin Wiacek, Vice President of Brand and Product Development. “OCX foams offered the simplicity of eliminating an additional coating step but lacked the high-yield performance available from many conventional open-cell products. Higher-yield foams could provide greater output but may require an FR coating, additional labor and additional jobsite visits. EnviroSeal OCX Platinum gives contractors another option by bringing those advantages together in one system.”
More Options for a Changing Building Market
As jurisdictions begin transitioning to the 2024 IRC and IECC, builders and insulation contractors are navigating an evolving building-code landscape. Markets including Phoenix and Nashville have already adopted the 2024 code cycle, with additional jurisdictions expected to follow.
EnviroSeal OCX Platinum was developed with these evolving markets in mind, expanding the range of solutions available to builders and contractors as they address different climates, building designs, production requirements and code-compliance goals.
No single insulation approach is right for every project. QPM is focused on providing a broader portfolio of technologies that allows builders and contractors to select the system that best supports the performance, design and compliance needs of each project.
Designed for Productivity
Field evaluations confirmed effortless installation under demanding jobsite conditions, including hot and humid climates where unvented attic assemblies are common.
EnviroSeal OCX Platinum is designed to process at temperatures up to 20°F lower than other leading OCX foams, helping shorten material preparation time and support efficient daily installation.
Combined with its high-yield performance, these processing characteristics are designed to help contractors make effective use of their crews, rigs and equipment while maintaining the flexibility needed across a wide range of projects.
Sustainability and Product Stewardship
Continuing QPM’s focus on safety, responsible material technology and product transparency, EnviroSeal OCX Platinum has achieved three key independent environmental distinctions:
· USDA Certified Biobased
· Certified PFAS-Free
· GREENGUARD Gold Certified
These certifications provide builders, contractors and homeowners with additional confidence that EnviroSeal OCX Platinum is engineered with both performance and environmental considerations in mind.
“Builders and contractors need choices that allow them to meet different performance goals across different climates, designs and applications,” said Robert Jamieson, President & CEO of Quadrant Performance Materials. “EnviroSeal OCX Platinum expands those choices by combining high-yield performance with the simplicity of OCX technology. Our goal is to give customers more flexibility—not prescribe a single solution for every building.”
Another Innovation from the Pioneers of Sugar Foam
EnviroSeal OCX Platinum is available for purchase immediately.
