Summit Express Launches Summit Tours, Bringing Guided "Elevated Adventures" to Colorado’s High Country
Silverthorne, CO, October 07, 2026 --(PR.com)-- New small-group tour brand gives Colorado visitors and locals an easy, comfortable way to experience mountain scenery, local history and iconic destinations.
Summit Express, an established Colorado mountain transportation company with more than 15 years of experience, has expanded the ways guests can experience the state with the launch of and partnership with Summit Tours, a new guided tour brand offering comfortable, small-group sightseeing experiences throughout Colorado’s high country.
Built around the idea of “Elevated Adventures,” Summit Tours combines professional transportation, local knowledge, and thoughtfully paced itineraries to help guests experience Colorado without the stress of planning routes, navigating mountain roads, or coordinating a full day of sightseeing on their own.
“We’ve spent more than 15 years helping people get to and from Colorado’s mountains, and we’re excited to now help them experience even more of what makes this place so special,” said Jackie Roppel, Vice President and Co-Founder of Summit Express. “Whether someone is visiting Colorado for the first time or lives here and simply wants to see more of their own backyard, Summit Tours gives them an easy and comfortable way to explore incredible scenery, local history, and memorable places. We can’t wait to share more of Colorado with our guests.”
Summit Tours is designed primarily for visitors already staying in or planning their trip to Summit County and surrounding mountain communities who want to venture beyond their resort or lodging and experience more of Colorado. Tours emphasize small groups, scenic stops, knowledgeable storytelling, and a relaxed pace that gives guests time to enjoy the destinations along the way.
Experiences developed for the Summit Tours lineup include:
- Continental Divide Scenic Tour — A guided journey through Summit County featuring Dillon Reservoir, Sapphire Point Overlook, historic Frisco, and the Continental Divide at Loveland Pass, which reaches 11,990 feet.
- Rocky Mountain National Park Small-Group Tour — A full-day experience designed around the park’s alpine landscapes, wildlife-viewing opportunities and scenic destinations, including stops along Trail Ridge Road when seasonal conditions allow.
- Breckenridge Ghost & Haunted History Driving Tour — An evening experience exploring Summit County’s mining history, local legends and atmospheric locations in and around Breckenridge through a combination of driving, storytelling and short stops.
- Seasonal Scenic Experiences — Tour concepts include fall-color excursions showcasing Colorado’s golden aspen groves, high-alpine landscapes, and destinations such as Breckenridge, Twin Lakes, Independence Pass, and Aspen.
Individual itineraries, seasonal availability, pickup options, duration, and booking details vary by tour.
The new tour brand partnership builds on Summit Express’ years of experience transporting guests through Colorado’s mountain communities. That transportation background informs the Summit Tours experience, with an emphasis on smooth logistics, experienced local drivers, and comfortable travel so guests can focus on the scenery and experience rather than the drive.
Summit Tours also gives travelers a new option for making more of their time in the mountains. From first-time Colorado visitors and couples to small groups, photographers and travelers looking for a memorable day trip, the tours are designed to make exploring the high country approachable, informative, and easy to enjoy.
