Travel-Startup tripwolf.com Celebrates 10,000th Registered User

Highly active social travel community merely weeks after the launch exceeds expectations

New York, NY, August 10, 2008 --(PR.com)-- tripwolf (http://www.tripwolf.com), the new next generation, social travel guide start up, which launched just over a month ago, is a hit with internet travel enthusiasts. More than 10,000 users have already registered since the launch, and are now active members of the community. The website’s content is also growing rapidly: more than 180,000 pictures and 30,000 travel videos are getting people hungry for travel.

Drawn from the information provided by tripwolf’s investor, MairDumont, Europe’s largest publisher of travel guides, and the experience of thousands of users, the tripwolf-platform offers tips on more than 220,000 locations worldwide, including 40,000 hotels.

“We are thrilled with the developments of the last couple of weeks. The user-numbers already exceeds the original goal set in our business plan. It’s great to see how people are embracing the site, which we built up through hard work over the last couple of months,” says Sebastian Heinzel, one of the two tripwolf founders. “In the next few weeks we will focus on the development of the site, creating options such as booking flights and hotels through tripwolf and enabling usage through the iPhone. The performance of the site is being improved continuously as well. We are working on increasing the speed, despite rising traffic.” Heinzel continues.

In celebration of this landmark achievement, tripwolf had teamed up with the Lomography photo community (http://www.lomography.com) for a travel photo competition for the month of August only. Anyone can participate by submitting their best travel photos on www.tripwolf.com, for a chance to win one of the 10 great Lomography cameras being given away, among them, three world famous Lomo LC - A+s, as well as other prizes.
