Husson University’s Vice President of Finance and Administration, Treasurer to Retire

Craig Hadley, Husson University’s vice president of finance and administration, treasurer, will be retiring at the end of 2021. He has been with the university for over 13 years. Hadley played a significant role in the university’s response to the pandemic. His efforts included overseeing the deployment of significant federal economic relief. As a result of his dedication to Husson, the University was able to institute approximately $100 million in campus facility developments and improvements. - December 06, 2021

L.L.Bean President and CEO Discussed Challenges Facing Today’s Businesses at Husson University’s Distinguished Speaker Series

The second installment of Husson University’s Distinguished Speaker Series took place on November 18, 2021 and featured L.L.Bean President and CEO Stephen Smith. The purpose of Husson University’s new Distinguished Speaker Series is to educate students, alumni and community members on the challenges facing businesses and related professions. "Anchors Away" Art Installation at Husson University Honors the "Sailor Jerry" Tattoo Style

Husson University students created an art installation called “Anchors Away” that honors “Sailor Jerry” tattoos. The installation consists of large wheat paste tattoo designs affixed to the walls of the gallery. “Sailor Jerry” tattoos are characterized by bold, crisp lines with pops of color that create emphasis within the image. These tattoos are primarily nautical in theme.The exhibition runs from Nov. 9 – Dec. 7, 2021. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. - November 11, 2021

Employers Are Looking to Hire at Husson University Career Fairs

Career Services at Husson University held an in-person career fair on Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Newman Gym on their Bangor, Maine campus. Nearly 50 organizations were present and spoke with job applicants. Those unable to attend the in-person career fair can attend Career Services’ virtual career fair on Nov. 17 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. through the online platform Airmeet. Many of the same employers who attended the in-person career fair will be present at this online event. - November 08, 2021
