Online Scientific Auction Expands to Include Chemical and Pharmaceutical Processing Equipment

Laboratory equipment marketplace LabX broadens its reach with its new Process Equipment portal www.processX.com. Moving beyond just bench top research equipment and analytical instruments typically found on LabX, the process equipment portal serves large industrial machinery buyers and sellers. Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment such as capsule fillers and high shear granulators as well as food processing equipment such as industrial-sized wrapping machines are featured.

Midland, Canada, February 11, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Laboratory equipment marketplace LabX introduces Process Equipment portal www.processX.com to serve processing and pharmaceutical equipment buyers with an industrial-sized marketplace to call their own. Seeing the increased demand over the past year, LabX has broadened its category structure to include four main category groups: Pharmaceutical Equipment, Packaging Equipment, Metalworking Equipment, and a General Process Equipment group which contains sub-categories for items such as power generation and water treatment equipment.

LabX has assigned an editor to this portal whose responsibilities include managing the classified and auction listings as well as providing industry-related content and news articles. Joel Robitaille, who spearheaded the project, is fully focused on its success. "We've seen everything from sales of 100 gallon mixers, to purchase requests on football field-sized chemical processing plants. In fact, we currently have over 300 process plants listed on ProcessX. Need a 6,000 hectoliter per-year brewery? We've got one listed," says Robitaille.

LabX will continue to enhance and expand the features of the new portal in 2009. They have recently added a weekly ProcessX newsletter to recap classified and auction listings and will soon add a monthly digital digest specifically for the pharmaceutical and food processing industries.
