GVI. Volunteer Abroad 365 Days a Year. Even 25th December.

The festive season come December 25th does not always have to be about turkey, tinsel, stuffing and stress. If you have ever thought of giving it a miss but never quite managed, then GVI are ready to make this a reality…

Boston, MA, October 09, 2009 --(PR.com)-- Ethical volunteering company Global Vision International (GVI) has this year added a number of new volunteer abroad options to an already extensive range. But just because 2010 might be beginning to show its face on the horizon, that is no reason to stop there. GVI have introduced start dates on a number of programs coinciding with the holiday period. Indeed, one even has a start date of 25th December if you want to go all out. December and the winter season may not be the first month to spring to mind for volunteering abroad, but perhaps it is time to put the norm aside for one year…how does an island tour then Christmas dinner at a beachfront location in Thailand sound? Or a weekend trip to Cape Town?

Alternatively for that 25th day start date...for the majority of people back home this will be the day for presents and turkey, but a totally different experience awaits in Laos, a country that has remained relatively untouched by the tourist industry in comparison to it’s party-hard neighbor, Thailand. Enhance the education of novice Buddhist monks in the former royal capital, Luang Prabang, as well as learning about the local culture from people not that changed from those that greeted French explorers over a hundred years ago.

Make your holiday period one to remember this year…for different reasons.
