)-- The romantic comedy Love Simple will donate 30 percent of the proceeds from the film's sale on the iTunes Store (http://itunes.apple.com) until June 21 to the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation. The donations raised in the final days will help raise money and awareness for the support, treatment and prevention of the autoimmune disease, systemic lupus.
The S.L.E. Lupus Foundation, headquartered in New York City with a West Coast division in Los Angeles, is the country's preeminent nonprofit organization providing direct patient services, education, public awareness and funding for novel lupus research on the national level.
"The response to our week-long campaign, and to the film in general, has been gratifying and overwhelming," said Mark von Sternberg, Love Simple's director. "We hope to be able to generate further interest in the remaining days and beyond, and hope that lupus survivors, and their family and friends will consider downloading the film to help support the S.L.E. Lupus Foundation."
To date, and during the week-long campaign, the film has gained well over: 200 fans on Facebook and over 300 followers on Twitter. In addition, the film's special trailer has been viewed over 500 times.
