Karyn White who recorded the smash hit "Superwoman" in 1988 tells EURweb.com's Lee Bailey she left the music industry at the height of her career becuase it coincided with "dark period" in her life.

Los Angeles, CA, October 26, 2012 --(PR.com)-- EURweb.com, home of the the Electronic Urban Report (EUR), has published an exclusive report on singer Karyn White who has been absent from the music scene some 17 years now.

Ms. White was even married to super producer Terry Lewis for a short time after her chart topping hit “Superwoman” tagged her as a bona fide rising star in 1988. So what happened? Why did Karyn White fade to the background, and why is she now back to "Seize The Day," which is also the title of her new single?

Karyn White tells EURweb.com’s Lee Bailey, “Well, Terry and I got a divorce … and that was very painful. At the same time, you know, I lost my mom so … that was a dark period in my life…I kind of felt like I really, honestly didn’t want to sing after that whole process. It kind of took a toll on me because … the two most important people I cared about, I was losing them.”

Ironically it was Jay King, the man behind the group Club Nouveau, that has set forth Karyn’s new and current direction in music.

"Jay showed me who I was. My worth, and that there was a whole new world out there,” said White.

Jay King is also now Karyn’s manager. Read more in the story by DeBorah Pryor at http://www.eurweb.com/2012/10/eur-exclusive-after-long-absence-karyn-white-is-back-to-seize-the-day/#rhHvuWCEiJdoJ8Av.99
