Parents Demand More Qualifications from Childcare Professionals
Miami, FL, March 19, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Miami National Nanny Training Day (NNTD) is a day-long workshop that is a combination of childcare and professional development lectures given by local, industry experts and falls on the last day of Week of the Young Child. WOYC is an annual celebration sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the world’s largest early childhood education association, with nearly 80,000 members and a network of over 300 local, state, and regional affiliates. Over 30 agencies nationwide will deliver trainings on April 20th, 2013 with the Miami event taking place at Café Pastis in downtown Miami.

The National Nanny Training Day is a public service initiative created by Nanny Biz Reviews to promote awareness of the importance of training for nannies. Training and education of caregivers is one of the most important factors associated with the quality of the child care they provide. The event also creates an opportunity for nanny-related businesses and organizations to become actively involved in providing and/or promoting quality nanny training in their local communities. All Miami area nannies are invited attend this one-day training.

According to Nicole Lopez, Placement Specialist for SitterCentralMiami, the most important thing for parents looking for a nanny or babysitter is the safety of their children. This leads them the arduous task of finding credible, trustworthy candidates. “People are scared by what they see on the news, but parents just don’t have the experience to run the background checks and call all the references and make sure they are legitimate,” explains Lopez. Online companies require no screening of their members which leaves all the work to the busy parents. SitterCentralMiami has the highest screening standards in the industry. This includes individually screening each candidate, performing background and reference checks plus a requirement that all caregivers be CPR/First Aid certified and have a minimum of two years of experience.
