The grand prize winner will receive $25,000, while two runners-up will each win $1,000.

Each original sandwich recipe will be judged and evaluated based on originality, use of Mezzetta products, ease in preparation and taste. The 2012 winner of the Mezzetta Make That Sandwich contest, Michelle Wiederhold of Phoenix, Arizona, impressed judges with her “Croque Mezzetta” sandwich and took home the $25,000 grand prize. A unique sandwich creation, Michelle’s Mezzetta twist on a Croque Monsieur combined thinly sliced deli ham, grated gruyere cheese, Mezzetta Chimichurri Sandwich Spread, Mezzetta Deli-Sliced Golden Greek Peperoncini and Mezzetta Deli-Sliced Roasted Bell Pepper Strips on white sandwich bread and topped with a decadent Mornay sauce made with Mezzetta® Deli-Sliced Golden Greek Peperoncini and Mezzetta Crushed Garlic.
