Taylor Morrison Phoenix Division Volunteers to Help Local Families Fleeing Domestic Violence and Homelessness
Phoenix, AZ, October 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Almost 100 employees from Taylor Morrison’s Phoenix division are grabbing coveralls and stealing away from the office to help Arizona families on Friday, Nov. 1.

Employees of the Phoenix home builder will spend the day working with the Save the Family Foundation of Arizona to refurbish and refresh a vital housing complex that helps survivors of domestic abuse and homeless families to transition from temporary housing to homes of their own.

By using the necessary supplies and manpower, Taylor Morrison Phoenix will help revitalize the complex and provide those in Save the Family’s housing programs with a comfortable home while they work to get back on their feet.

“We want to give these families a little hope and do what we can to give them a fresh start,” said Bob Thompson, vice president of sales and marketing for Taylor Morrison’s Phoenix division. “What better way than for us to use our expertise as home builders to help Save the Family with this much needed service project.”

The Save the Family Foundation provides transitional housing to homeless families and those fleeing from domestic violence. The foundation helps provide people with the assistance they need to achieve life-long independence by offering career development, financial planning, education and support for domestic violence, tutoring, after-school classes and tuition for summer camps and extracurricular activities. More than 497 individuals have gotten back on their feet with the help of Save the Family.

Save the Family’s main campus in Central Mesa is home to its 15,000 square-foot program and administrative facility. Currently operating more than 180 housing units that encompass 160,000 square feet of living space in the East Valley, the foundation strives to create stability for homeless families and works to keep working-poor families stable through market adjusted rents.
