What to Wear to Any Holiday Occasion - Fashion Experts Share How to Pair Hot Holiday Looks with Any Holiday Festivity
San Francisco, CA, December 10, 2013 --(PR.com)-- With winter just around the corner and the holiday season kicked into full gear, fashion experts and creator of popular fashion blog Britt+Whit, Brittany Hebb and Whitney Powell, share their expert insight on style and dish out the latest holiday trends, for every holiday occasion. From holiday work parties to meeting the parents, Hebb and Powell inspire us to take the same stylish winter trends from the runway and bring them to life at any holiday party.

While winter hues such as silver and gold make for classic holiday outfits, Hebb and Powell say this season is all about the bold whites, reds, and blacks. Coordinate outfits for any holiday occasion based on their simple styling tips, below.

Holiday Work Parties
Hebb explains, “The goal for any holiday work party is to look both professionally chic and festive.”

Be Bold: For a chic, bold look, pair red pants with a black sequined top, and black heels together for a casual office party.

More Traditional? Keep it Classic: For a more conservative, yet stylish look, pair a black, knee-length pencil skirt with a red sweater and kitten heels. If you’re a classic dress lover, pair a burgundy shift dress with sophisticated gold jewelry and kitten heels. Try gold bangles and earrings with an elegant and dainty necklace.

Weekend Holiday Bash
“A weekend holiday party with friends typically means fewer restrictions and more options,” shares Powell.

Cocktail Attire: Don’t be afraid of color this season and try a form-fitted red dress with a skinny black belt and black heels. Long sleeve or short sleeve, the dress will be your statement piece.

Business Casual: If your friends keep it casual, pair a dark red sweater with a white or black skirt and finish off the look with ankle boots.

On the Edge and on Trend: If you’re feeling edgy, try pairing a white or black sweater with a plaid red skirt and mid-length leather/faux leather black boots. To stay warm, layer any outfit with black tights, a cute scarf, and a classic black leather jacket.

Meeting the Parents
Hebb reassures, “Although meeting the parents can be nerve- wracking, looking fabulous and put together will always leave a great first impression.”

Formal Family Dinner: During family gatherings, pair a white or cream A-line cocktail dress with bright red heels for that pop of color. Match the shoes with a red lipstick and a chunky gold necklace to make a statement. If you feel the red shoes and lips are already a statement, switch out the chunky gold necklace for a smaller gold pendant on a dainty gold chain.

Party on the Go: For the impromptu party you just received word about, create a quick and casual look with your black or blue denim skinny jeans, paired with a cozy holiday sweater and heeled boots. Make this look more playful by layering a collared blouse underneath or wear a stylish beanie.

If the occasion is in between a fancy and casual, take Hebb and Powell’s advice, “When in doubt, a little black dress is always a classic choice.”

No matter what the holiday outing is, there is always the perfect look that can make you look effortlessly chic, from top to bottom. Follow these tips and always have a merry time this holiday season.
