Portland, TN, May 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Shoals Technologies Group, the leading manufacturer of PV Balance of Systems components, today announced it has been awarded the contract to provide 17.5 MW of ground mount racking to the Fort Huachuca U.S. Army Base. Chattanooga, Tennessee based American Helios Constructors will serve as the EPC for the project.

“The Shoals’ NiceRack is an innovative modular design which requires far fewer number of components and fasteners compared to any other solution available in the market today,” says Ben Macias, Vice President of Global Sales for Shoals. Utilizing a direct attachment method, the NiceRack secures the PV modules to the rack providing a more durable and reliable electrical bonding method than conventional style module pressure clamps.

“Shoals has been delivering quality solutions in this industry for years and their reputation for innovation is the driving force for this partnership,” says Brad Kogan, Vice President for American Helios Constructors. “The NiceRack construction is ideal for the environmental conditions at the Fort and the features of the solution will dramatically decrease installation time. We look forward to this and future installations with Shoals.”

Shipments are expected to begin mid-June.
