Mia Farrow Appearing at the Ridgefield Playhouse as Part of the Series for Women and Girls

Mia Farrow has appeared in more than forty films and won numerous awards. However, most of all, she is a humanitarian and an advocate, especially for children, and most recently for the situation in Darfur. Her inspirational life and relationship with her children will be the topic as the first presenter at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m as part of the Adam Broderick Salon & Spa Series for Women and Girls.

Ridgefield, CT, October 15, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Mia Farrow’s “What Falls Away: One Woman’s Journey to Fulfillment” at The Ridgefield Playhouse

“What Falls Away: One Woman’s Journey to Fulfillment,” the book by Mia Farrow, is casually populated with dozens of high-profile friends ranging from Yul Brynner and Salvador Dali to Michael Caine and Vladimir Horowitz, not to mention Frank Sinatra, André Previn and Woody Allen. It also has an unexpectedly honest, soul-searching quality, detailing Ms. Farrow’s troubled inner life, her spiritual longings and pursuits and her passionate attachment to children. It is a good read, but how much better to hear the author in person. Mia Farrow will discuss her book, and certainly her involvement with the crisis in Darfur, at The Ridgefield Playhouse for Movies and the Performing Arts on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Adam Broderick Salon & Spa Series for Women and Girls, which is also underwritten by Lori Fusco of Merrill Lynch, with the assistance of Ridgefield Community Prevention Council, United Way of Western CT and YMCA Camp Mohawk. 96.7 The Coast is the media sponsor. A special reception will follow for those who purchase Meet and Greet tickets for which a portion will go towards helping the crisis in Darfur.

Mia Farrow has appeared in more than forty films and won numerous awards; however, today she is most known for her extensive humanitarian work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Her latest efforts in Darfur are explained on her website, www.miafarrow.org.
