About Masatoshi Tsujimura
Mr. Tsujimura has 32 years’ experience in the restaurant industry. He is Owner and President of Waraji Japanese Restaurant which is an authentic Japanese restaurant and sushi bar in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is responsible for menu development, restaurant operations, and preparation of all authentic Japanese dishes and sushi. He also provides training for all staff positions. He was awarded Best Chefs in America in 2013, 2014 and 2015, and his restaurant was voted Best Japanese Cuisine in the Triangle by the News and Observer newspaper for multiple years. Previously, he was the Sushi Chef/Sushi Manager at Kanki Japanese House of Steaks in Raleigh, North Carolina from 1985-1996. Mr. Tsujimura was born on June 2, 1957 in Shimonoseki, Japan. He obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Tokai University in Japan in 1981 and is an active member of the Japan Club of North Carolina. In his spare time he enjoys golf.
