Ed Marshall Enters Race for GOP Nomination with Unusual Campaign
Sherman Oaks, CA, November 27, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Newt Gingrich decided not to seek the GOP nomination because he couldn't raise $30 million. Now, Edward Marshall of Los Angeles has launched his campaign over the internet, with little organization or campaign funds and says, "Don't send money!" He will not accept any campaign contributions, so no federal matching funds, and if elected, won't take a salary paid from taxpayer dollars. His campaign will be a grass-roots e-campaign, started on a budget of $2,000.

Who is Ed Marshall?
He is a medical doctor and has written books including "Jump-Starting America", and "The War No More Book" available free at TheWarNoMoreBook.net . And, he runs a successful home staging business with his entire family. That, plus his nearly 44-year marriage to Linda, demonstrates his stand on family values, Marshall says.

He won't criticize his opponents; he'll just present himself and his stands for voters to consider. He points out that the other GOP candidates are already doing plenty tearing down of each other, so they don't need Marshall's help with that.

What are his stands on issues? He wants the first $50,000 of personal income to be exempt from federal income tax, as the best way to help people struggling to get ahead. That exemption should increase by $12,500 each year, Marshall says. How will government continue all of its big spending with these tax breaks? "Exactly the point", says Marshall, "It will help set limits."

Marshall favors a big Arabic media campaign in Iraq. The message is to be that when all Iraqis do what the tribal leaders have done in Al Anbar Province, ousting the foreign Al Queda and other foreign terrorists to reduce the mayhem, all of Iraq will become more peaceful. Then we can begin bringing our troops home. That media effort will shorten the war, saving lives and money, says Marshall.

He opposes the death penalty, for six reasons that he lists on his campaign website. He wants illegal drugs to be regulated for inexpensive use by registered addicts, to cut down on crime and to undercut street sales, which would remain illegal.

Marshall says he is capable of producing the best results for the country and all Americans. You can see more of his stands on issues at
MarshallYourVotes.org . He says he is "a maverick candidate". No doubt. But will this unprecedented e-campaign get off the ground? Marshall says that's up to you, the American voters.
