Los Angeles, CA, May 12, 2015 --(PR.com
)-- Designer and manufacturer Jerey Ojeah burst on to the eclectic Los Angeles fashion scene over twenty years ago, full of ingenuity and style. Her expansive experience paid off tremendously over the years, and she ventured into retail by opening her own boutique Easy Language. With the location of the store being so close to the visa consulate office, she encountered a number of customers who were foreign travelers looking to buy gifts to take home – but not just any gift. They were specifically looking for items that were "Made in America." At first, it was difficult to accommodate the international shoppers. However, the wheels of imagination began churning in Jerey’s head.
“I already had bags in (the) Easy Language (Boutique) and most of them were made in China. So why not create an All-American Bag and name it after one of the oldest cities in the country.” - Jerey D. Ojeah
And the Baltimore Bag Company (BBC bags) was born.
Researching factories that produced and designed all American leather products proved to be an extreme challenge. The manufacturing industry died about 50 years ago when the majority of the factories relocated overseas for cheaper labor and materials. For that reason, all Baltimore Bags are handcrafted locally and produced by American craftsmen, bringing manufacturing jobs back to America one bag at a time.
The Baltimore Bag Company includes a plethora of bag styles for both men and women alike including their personal favorite, the Monte Carlo cross-body bag. Suitable for all occasions and handcrafted to design perfection, the Monte Carlo is both sturdy and stylish. Created with premium Monte Carlo leather, the Monte Carlo is perfect for strolling the beach or a day at the mall since it is both lightweight and spacious. Whatever your style is, they have a bag made just for you.
All BBC bags will be handmade in the U.S. and sold online at baltimorebagcompany.com. Since each bag is handcrafted, customers should expect shipping to occur inside 1-2 weeks after the purchase has been made.
