Phillip W. Powell is the Director of Grid Innovations, a utility providing alternative energy. Mr. Powell’s expertise is distribution planning and energy efficiency. Mr. Powell earned a B.S. from Georgia Tech University and an M.S. from Purdue University, both in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Powell’s previous career history includes Director of Planning and Reliability and Director of Conservation and Load Management at Dominion Virginia Power. He is a Mentor with Engineers Without Borders USA. Mr. Powell is a Senior Member of IEEE and a Board Member of the Uganda Rural Fund. He is the Co-Author of “Advanced System Management-a New Approach to Sub-Station Automation.”
