But shortly after his purchase was finalized, he received an email telling him that his part would be free. He said he was skeptical at first, but his account was refunded for the price of the part, and then he knew it was for real. Bales commented, “It’s great to find a company, in this day and age, that still cares enough about their customers to do something like this.”
While Bales enjoyed his complimentary AC compressor, the staff at BuyAutoParts.com had a celebration of their own. Staff member spoke about the event by saying, “It was cool - we all took a break and I got to smash a piñata while the rest of the team threw faux $1,000,000 bills in the air. Then, we had an Ice Cream truck come to work. Again, it was cool, really cool.”
