)-- On the 26th and 27th of this month, the most important forum of the Latin American tourism industry will be held in the Dominican Republic. Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will be represented at the forum headquarters in Punta Cana, a town known as the land of rest and relaxation. Punta Cana is the Dominican Republic’s foremost tourist destination, thanks to its spectacular beaches and a variety of tropical and luxurious hotels.
The tourism forum, LASOS (Latin American Shared Ownership Summit), is led by RCI, a global leader in the vacation ownership and tourism industries. This event has managed to break boundaries, becoming the most important and recognized forum in the Latin American vacation ownership industry.
This event was created by RCI under the official sponsorship of TORE (Tourism Oriented Real Estate Advisory and Consulting) and will gather at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. More than eighty organizations from more than ten countries such as Mexico, United States, Colombia, Brazil, Venezuela, Argentina, Panama, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Peru will be represented. It will also be attended by the most important and prominent personalities from the tourism industry including developers, investors, entrepreneurs, government, hotel chains and suppliers.
The event will feature more than fifty world-class speakers who will share their experience, professional expertise, and knowledge. Topics will include trend analysis, creating new solutions, generating customer loyalty, creating experiences, challenges of the current economy, innovation and resilience, developing effective marketing, and diversification of products and markets. These forum topics will be provided in order to foster the growth of the vacation ownership industry and further strengthen the tourism sector in Latin America.
This year, Puerto Vallarta and Riviera Nayarit will be represented thanks to the participation of some of the industry’s great personalities. Through hard work and determination, these individuals have positioned themselves as leaders in the hotel industry in the region and have maintained a high level of stability and growth. These include Roberto Chapur Duarte and Roberto Chapur Zahoul from RCD Resorts; Valentino Danchev from Vidanta; Jorge Herrera from Unlimited Vacation Club AMResorts; Enrique Lozano Carbonell from Royal Holiday Group; Norman McPherson from RCD Resorts; Gonzalo Maqueda from Unlimited Vacation Club AMResorts; and Rosario Rodriguez from Royal Holiday Group.
Some of the keynote speakers for this important event are: Alberto Jones, president and CEO of Moody's Mexico, who is currently responsible for the northern region of Latin America; Miguel Angel Davila, managing partner of Liv Capital and founder of Cinemex, one of the largest and most successful entertainment companies in Mexico, who has over 24 years of professional experience and is recognized as one of Mexico’s most successful entrepreneurs; Carlos Muñoz, chief officer of Grupo 4S, an innovative consulting company specializing in the real estate industry; and Miguel Baigts, CEO of Consulting Media Mexico, a leading global speaker and expert on social networks.
This year the focus of LASOS will be seeking to rebuild, rewrite and rethink the history of the tourism industry. Innovation will be promoted through lectures, panel discussions, and workshops, which will provide attendees with the knowledge to strengthen the growth of the vacation ownership industry as a whole.
As in previous years, prior to this important event day, lectures, panel discussions, and technical visits will be held at Leisure Real Estate University, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn about the history of the tourism industry in Latin America and to experience various business models that have contributed significantly to its growth and development.
