, will be exhibiting her handmade designer jewelry at the JCK Tucson Show being held at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa from February 1-4, 2017. JCK Tucson is a curated destination of finished jewelry and loose gemstones from the finest designers and suppliers displaying their unique collections. Ms. Mita will be featuring her Sand Dune collection, which is available in 18k and 14k gold as well as mixed metals. Her Sand Dune collection depicts the ever changing shape and texture of deserts and sandy beaches in geometric and organic forms.
Keiko Mita has been designing timeless and elegant jewelry with a difference for more than 20 years. Inspired by the sandy shores, spectacular scenery and alpine flora on the small Japanese island where she was born, Ms. Mita’s unique fine jewelry combines complex shapes and undulating patterns with diamonds, pearls and other precious and semi-precious stones. According to Ms. Mita, her award winning designs echo the natural surroundings of her youth and focus on movement, texture and color.
K.Mita Design was founded by Keiko Mita in 2002. Located in New York City, K.Mita Design specializes in creating handmade designer jewelry in 18k and 14k gold as well as mixed metals. It also engages in custom work and provides consulting and design services. Ms. Mita received her education at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Hokkaido University of Education. Prior to establishing her company, Ms. Mita was the Design Director for First Avenue Inc., a high-end jewelry company located in Osaka, Japan.
