Beaumont, TX, August 08, 2018 --( Iron Horse Terminals, LLC. broke ground on the first phase of its Beaumont Terminal on Tuesday May, 29th 2018. This unit train capable facility will offer rail car storage, repair, cleaning and transload services to Southeast Texas. The facility will initially provide the region an additional 1,200 rail car storage spaces, with future phases increasing the facility to 3,000 cars. The facility will begin operations in December of 2018, with additional capacity being constructed through the second quarter of 2019. By 1Q19 the terminal will have over 100,000 track feet, 24 stub-ended storage tracks, a 12-car rail maintenance facility, a rail car washing facility and a transload facility. The facility will be capable of simultaneously landing multiple Unit Trains.
