Altoona, PA, September 04, 2018 --(PR.com
)-- Prepare yourself for a takeover! Nova 6 Marketing and the city of Altoona will be bringing back the dead as ZombieTown USA returns October 5 & 6, 2018. The Railroaders Memorial Museum and Downtown Altoona will be the scene for a weekend of family friendly entertainment.
This year’s event will feature even more opportunities to participate as ZombieTown USA has added new vendors, entertainers and events to make this year even bigger than the last. Live music throughout the weekend will provide the backdrop for Zombie flash mobs, marches, survival challenges and many more interactive zombie-themed activities. This is an all-ages encounter that encourages everyone to participate.
ZombieTown USA kicks of Friday afternoon at The Railroaders Memorial Museum as the American Red Cross conducts a “Blood Frenzy” blood drive. There will also be a food drive benefitting Family Services, a Zombie Prom featuring Agent Smith performing their “Alice in Chains Tribute,” and a Zombie Costume and Makeup Contest.
Saturday’s events run all day and will begin at 10am. For the youngest crowd there will be face painting, costume contests, a haunted house, a parade and skill challenges that will keep the kids smiling all weekend. And for the “hard to impress” teenagers, ZombieTown USA will have escape rooms, an Alley Escape Challenge, and the Altoona Police Department will shut down a city block to offer them a chance to live out their favorite video game live on the streets in a simulated zombie laser tag battle.
ZombieTown USA brings the opportunity to get out and enjoy one last outdoor social event before winter turns us into seasonal zombies, and you can participate at whatever level you prefer. The many food vendors will ensure you don’t leave hungry, and if you are over 21, you can count on the local beer distributors to offer you a variety of beverage choices. With so many options for community fun, ZombieTown USA truly has something for everyone.
