(Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) on the iconic Times Square billboards on September 23, 2026. Warden was recently named P.O.W.E.R.’s 2026 Woman of the Year and was selected for the prestigious Times Square recognition for her outstanding accomplishments and dedication to the field of early childhood education.

About Sarah Warden
Sarah Warden is the lead preschool teacher at Little Hills Learning Center in St. Charles, Missouri. The school serves children ranging in age from six weeks to five years, and Warden supports classrooms across all age groups.
Together with her team, Warden fosters a safe, welcoming, and accepting environment for every child. “We want every child to feel accepted,” she says. “Our goal is for them to develop the confidence to express themselves, socialize, be creative, and build essential life skills.”
Her teaching philosophy centers on the belief that “all children are gifted—they just open their gifts at different times.” Known for her individualized approach to education, Warden strives to recognize and cultivate each child’s unique strengths while allowing students to learn and develop at their own pace.
Warden’s journey into early childhood education began with inspiration close to home. Her mother worked in special education for more than 30 years and completed graduate school while raising Warden and her brother. Witnessing her mother’s dedication to both her family and the children she served helped shape Warden’s professional path.
Later, while volunteering with her church’s preschool program, Warden discovered how meaningful it was to help children experience new discoveries and celebrate their accomplishments. That experience strengthened her desire to pursue a career in early childhood education.
Warden’s dedication to her students and excellence as an educator have earned her numerous honors from P.O.W.E.R. In addition to her selection as Woman of the Year for 2026, she was featured in a three-page spread in the Spring 2026 issue of P.O.W.E.R. Magazine, named Woman of the Year for 2025, received a Lifetime Achievement Award, recognition as a Top Educator, and was named Woman of the Month for December 2024. She was also featured in a three-page spread in the Winter issue of P.O.W.E.R. Magazine.
A graduate of St. Louis Community College, Warden earned her associate degree in Child and Family Development in 2023. She is currently working toward a second associate degree in teaching from St. Louis Community College.
In her spare time, Warden enjoys reading, working out, playing with her cats, baking, taking long walks, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals.
