Ken Davis Elected to Omicron Delta Kappa Board of Trustees
Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, has elected Ken Davis to its Board of Trustees. A distinguished military veteran, federal government leader, historian, and longtime O∆K leader, Davis served as an Army officer in Vietnam, earned a Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia, and retired from federal service at the GS-15 level after 31 years in the Army Reserve as a colonel. He has also devoted seven decades to the Boy Scouts of America.
Lexington, VA, September 19, 2026 --(PR.com)-- Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, proudly announces the election of Ken Davis to its Board of Trustees. A distinguished military veteran, federal government leader, historian, and longtime O∆K leader, Davis brings decades of service, leadership, and organizational experience to the national board.
The announcement was made by Jennifer L. Waller, O∆K president and chief executive officer.
“Omicron Delta Kappa is thrilled to welcome Ken Davis to our Board of Trustees. His extraordinary record of leadership and service, along with his longstanding commitment to O∆K, will be a tremendous asset to the Society,” Waller said.
Davis’ connection to O∆K began with the founding of the Society’s Georgia State University Circle, where he served as its first president in 1968. He went on to serve as an Army officer in Vietnam, earning two Bronze Stars, and later earned his Ph.D. in history from the University of Virginia. Davis retired from federal service in 2020 at the GS-15 director level after a career with the National Archives, General Services Administration, and Defense Logistics Agency, receiving more than 25 service awards. He also retired from the Army Reserve as a colonel following 31 years of service and has devoted seven decades to the Boy Scouts of America, earning the Silver Buffalo and National Eagle Scout Outstanding Eagle Award and authoring three books on Scouting history.

Omicron Delta Kappa Society, the National Leadership Honor Society, was founded in Lexington, Virginia, on Dec. 3, 1914. The founders established the O∆K Idea — the belief that individuals representing all phases of collegiate life should collaborate to support their campus and community. O∆K honors and develops leaders and promotes collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, scholarship, and service.
