Fairfield Cheese Company to Host Screening of Award-Winning Documentary "The Big Cheese," Featuring In-Person Appearance by Film's Star
Fairfield Cheese Company will present a special screening of The Big Cheese, the acclaimed documentary that has won awards at multiple film festivals, on October 1 from 6:45 PM to 10:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Community Theater.

Fairfield Cheese Company will present a special screening of The Big Cheese, the acclaimed documentary that has won awards at multiple film festivals, on October 1 from 6:45 PM to 10:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Community Theater.
The film follows Adam "Mr. Moo" Moskowitz as he coaches a team of American cheesemongers competing at Le Mondial du Fromage — often called the "Olympics of Cheese" — in France. Team U.S.A. has never won the competition, and the documentary follows the underdog team as they navigate cultural clashes, personal struggles, and the technical demands of world-class cheesemongering in pursuit of a historic victory.
Directed by Sara Joe Wolansky and produced by Wolansky and James A. Smith, The Big Cheese has earned recognition at several festivals, including the Best Director award at the Phoenix Film Festival, Best Documentary Feature at the Cleveland International Film Festival, Audience Award Runner-Up at DOC NYC, and Best Feature Documentary at the Beloit International Film Festival.
Moskowitz, a third-generation cheese importer, owns and operates Larkin Cold Storage and Columbia Cheese, and founded the Cheesemonger Invitational. He has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and Wine Spectator, and has appeared as a guest judge on Chopped.
Following the screening, Moskowitz will join the cheesemongers of Fairfield Cheese Company for a live Q&A and a cheese tasting, giving attendees the chance to sample the kind of cheeses featured in the film while hearing directly from its star.
