River Ecosystems, Inc. Has Released a New Book (2) Regarding the Status of the Missouri River Ecosystem
Book 1, "8emessourit," described the damage done to the Missouri River from 200 years of engineering work by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Book 2 explores actual recovery options, since all efforts to date have failed the ecosystem and the threatened and endangered species.

This book follows "8emessourit," "The River of the Big Canoes" A Large, National, River Ecosystem in Peril, published 7 October 2025 by Palmetto Publishing, available from most booksellers.
“8emessourit” described the extent of engineering alterations of the Missouri River beginning in the early 1800s and documents the impact on the ecosystem, which includes plants, invertebrates, fish, wildlife, hydrology, geomorphology and human stakeholders, wishing to enjoy aspects of this once wild river.
Fish, Wildlife, and Water of the Missouri River Ecosystem explores options to begin recovery of the ecosystem, which has failed, to date, due to mis-management of the Missouri River Recovery Program, the Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee, and the Endangered Species Act.
