4M Wireless Demonstrates Leadership in LTE at 2009 Mobile World Congress
Barcelona, Spain, February 16, 2009 --(PR.com)-- 4M Wireless Ltd, the leader in LTE protocol stack software, is showcasing its technical and market leadership at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona 2009.

At the exhibition, 4M Wireless will carry out a series of product demonstrations and partner activities to demonstrate its capabilities. 2008 was an exciting time for 4M Wireless during which it reached several milestones.

“Our public demonstrations at this event will further establish our ongoing commitment to empower our customers to stay at the forefront of the LTE technology,” said Atif Malik, CEO of 4M Wireless. “4M Wireless is also deeply committed to work with its various partners to further the 4G ecosystem. We look forward to exhibiting at this year’s Mobile World Congress to highlight our achievements.”

The 4M Wireless PS100 LTE protocol stack is compliant to the latest 3GPP Release 8 LTE specifications and is currently undergoing interoperability tests. The PS100 is highly portable software and can cater to different hardware and operating systems. The LTE stack is designed for low power and MIPS consumption to enable optimal 4G consumer device solutions.

Demonstrations on display at the exhibition include:

LTE protocol stack on an embedded platform:
A live demonstration of the protocol stack running on an ARM powered embedded platform showcasing High Definition video streaming in real-time. The demo includes an LTE call setup with full Layer 2, Layer 3 and NAS signaling along with a GUI showing detailed logging of message exchanges between the UE and eNodeB as well as display of inter-stack messaging. The exhibit reveals the readiness of the LTE UE stack for deployment in baseband chipsets. The UE stack is available, already ported to various embedded real-time operating systems and enables physical layer vendors to accelerate their time to market.

Interoperability with eNodeB:
Full protocol interoperability including conformance tests of the 4M Wireless LTE protocols stack against a third party eNodeB solution. The demonstration includes execution of a complete media call with display and detailed logging of Layer 2, Layer 3 and NAS protocol layers at the highest LTE data rates. This showcase validates the quality of the 4M Wireless solution.
