Freeland Systems Re-Launches the AccessPoint Product Line with Enhanced EMR Connectivity and Multimodality Cardiology PACS

Feeland Systems introduces AccessPoint X-change which provides direct connection to Ultrasound, Nuclear and CT studies and reporting to the Internet Cloud.

Venice, FL, May 18, 2010 --(PR.com)-- After a short hiatus, Freeland Systems announces that it will re-launch its business and the AccessPoint product line with its newest addition, Access Point X-Change, on June 12, 2010 at the American Society of Echocardiography Annual Conference in San Diego, California, Booth # 434.

In mid-2008 Freeland sold it’s assets to a small start-up company. That venture proved to be unsuccessful. In September of 2009, the President of the purchasing company informed the partners of Freeland Systems that the purchaser did not have the funds to meet its payment obligations under a Promissory Note owed to Freeland. He further notified Freeland that the purchaser had been unable to attract investment capital, that it had over a million dollars in current accounts payable, almost no cash and was struggling to avoid bankruptcy. Freeland had no choice but to pick up the pieces and move forward. As the result of a foreclosure sale, Freeland regained ownership of its assets including the AccessPoint product line and the copyrights to original software as well as all AccessPoint derivatives and upgrades developed after the sale.

Fortunately for Freeland Systems, its four partners possess over 110 years collective direct industry experience which made the “back to business transition” relatively smooth. Additionally, the original key Freeland staff members quickly jumped back on board and the Company was able to hit the ground running with complete, trained, sales, development and IT support teams.

In response to current health care issues, Freeland has added a new product, AccessPoint X-Change to the AccessPoint suite. Unique features include direct connection of Ultrasound, Nuclear and CT studies and reporting to the Internet Cloud. Cloud connectivity provides backup and disaster recovery, long term archival, and remote reading and reporting. AccessPoint X-Change simplifies local IT support through use of simple Internet connectivity. Onsite archive and offsite Cloud based services are available through a subscription SaaS purchasing model.

AccessPoint provides a seamless image, reporting and archiving solution focused on workflow, integration and connectivity. It supports a single, integrated cardiovascular information system including cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, molecular imaging, nuclear, ECG, vascular ultrasound, CT, and X-Ray. Web Delivery provides anywhere, anytime access to diagnostic quality images allowing the physician to work from his/her office, home, hospital or any location that has internet access.
