About the Education Center at The Wall
The Education Center at The Wall is a learning facility being built on the National Mall near the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to put faces to the more than 58,000 names on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and tell some of their stories. Exhibits will include a larger-than-life Wall of Faces that will show their pictures on their birthdays; a display of some of the 150,000 items that have been left at The Wall in tribute; and a timeline of events during the Vietnam War. The Education Center will showcase the values embodied by all of America’s service members and, in one special exhibit, will show images of those who served in all of America’s wars, illustrating the legacy of service that has been a hallmark of our armed forces from the beginning. The Education Center is an initiative of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. For more information, visit www.buildthecenter.org.
