Lab Automation University Fosters Productivity in the Scientific Workplace
The Institute for Laboratory Automation and Lab Manager Magazine have created Lab Automation University, an annual event to teach lab managers and personnel how to plan for and apply automation technologies to their work.
Chicago, IL, February 16, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Institute for Laboratory Automation and Lab Manager Magazine have joined together to create Lab Automation University, an annual event to teach lab managers, personnel and support teams how to plan for and apply automation technologies to their work. This unique educational program is designed to train lab and IT personnel how to develop and implement laboratory automation programs. Laboratories are under increased pressure to improve the productivity and cost-effectiveness of both R&D and testing programs in life sciences, forensics, manufacturing, medical systems, chemistry and other areas of scientific work. Lab Automation University was developed to address this challenge.
The 2011 program will consist of three 2-day courses covering various topics of interest to those developing lab automation programs. Such topics include management of automation programs, informatics, and introductions to LIMS and ELNs.
The first annual event will take place June 21 to 24, 2011 in Chicago, IL.
