The White Tree Identifies Modern Australian Wedding Trends and an Endless Quest for Individuality

Melbourne, Australia, May 18, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Celebrity weddings, digital media and the cultural trend towards uniqueness has lead to more and more couples opting for less traditional weddings, looking for modern ways to make their special day stylish, memorable, and a little bit different.

James Tudball and Nick Reive caught on to this trend early on and created The White Tree, a wedding and events company with a unique twist. Taking a creative approach to event entertainment, the young duo offers stylish photography, cinematic quality film and memorable live bands, all with a touch of elegance and edginess.

“As we were delving into the wedding market, we always said to each other that The White Tree must maintain a degree of cool...and never be too prissy,” James says. “We felt there was an opportunity, particularly with the band and film, to provide a top quality, non-cheesy product.”

With references to classic and vintage styles and a keen eye for modern trends, they provide a creative blend that avoids clichés, ensuring an event that is memorable and unique. “Prime examples are our feature rapper for the band, our Super 8 cameras and modern soundtracks for wedding films, and vintage cameras for warm and rich photography,” James explains.

Having the three major creative services under the one roof offers clients simplicity and creative cohesion. “I think they like the idea of one point of contact, and the idea that the one business knows exactly what’s going on with the band, film and photography side of things,” James continued, “This ensures everything works in harmony.”

“Nick and I have lost count of the hundreds or thousands of weddings we’ve been involved in,” James says. “One trend we’ve definitely noticed is the bride’s relentless quest to make her wedding original and unique. They know exactly what they want, and are on a constant search for original ideas to surprise and entertain their guests.”

Gen-Y brides in particular are becoming more and more inclined to look for ways to make their wedding unique. The glamour and extravagance of celebrity weddings, so heavily celebrated in the media, and the influence of the internet, with its proliferation of wedding blogs and online planners empowering brides-to-be with fresh ideas and the choice to do things their own way, have led to couples spending more and striving harder to make a splash. “Couples put so much effort into every single aspect of their wedding these days – no stone is left unturned!” James says.

This trend has resulted in some interesting and memorable events. Just last month, The White Tree worked on a wedding on a private horse stud farm in Mount Macedon. “The ceremony was under these huge oak trees and the reception was in a converted barn,” James says. “We brought a real vintage feel to the film and photography and it looked awesome.”
