About Silent Russian:
Chicago, July 1968, a vigilante serial killer dubbed "The Impaler" terrorizes the dangerous Fillmore district. In disturbing messages left on the victims, it becomes clear this murderer is really out to destroy one man: Patrolman Mikhail "Mick" Ivanov.
While discovering victim after victim, Mick and his partner, Tom Peterson, search through Mick's shadowed past to find the key to capturing the killer. The search turns desperate when the unstoppable Impaler sets his sights on what Mick loves the most: his family.

Quote from Richard Blake of Reader Views: “Valerie Biamonte has developed a cast of characters who convey emotional and psychological depth. The physical descriptions create identifiable recognizable visual images. The story is filled with memorable moments, poignant insights into family values, stimulating dialog, and a fast moving plot. I appreciated a glimpse into the police procedures presented as policy in the city of Chicago. The element of suspense and matching wits with Mick and Tom in solving the case kept me engaged in the story right up to an amazing unexpected climax.”

Quote from Desiree DiFabio, Queenie D, www.book-club-queen.com: "Valerie Biamonte's stories are action-packed and Silent Russian didn't disappoint! I felt as though I were watching an action movie in my head as I quickly turned the pages. This book definitely has the makings of a Blockbuster hit."

Quote from Page Inman, asthepageturns-page.blogspot.com: "I loved this book. Her characters are believable and they tug at your heartstrings. I liked how it shows the reader how tough it is for cops to protect citizens during a major convention and the steps they have to go through to ensure our safety. You get a feel of what it must have been like to work a beat like the Democratic National Convention during a tumultuous time in our history. If you like hard hitting action and a story that makes you feel good even in the midst of chaos, then you’ll love this book."
