Bucharest, Romania, November 06, 2011 --(PR.com)-- The Romanian publisher Hardcover & Paperback has recently diversified their offer with the Romanian translations of three new titles: "Swindling Billions" by Kari Nars, "Triptych" and "Martin Misunderstood" by Karin Slaughter.

These books were initially presented by Hardcover & Paperback, in Germany, at the Frankfurt Book Fair (the 2011 edition).

The official Romanian launching events took place on the 3rd and on the 4th of November 2011, in two major Romanian cities: Iasi and Bucharest (the capital).

Hardcover & Paperback was founded by Luiza and Razvan Grigorescu, in February 2011. The editorial plan of the company, for the first two years, includes both fiction and non-fiction titles, for children, young and adults. So far, the book rights were mainly sold by literary agencies in Europe and U.S.A.

“We respect our readers and this is why we are trying since our very beginning to position ourselves as quality books publishers,” said Luiza Grigorescu, owner.

Karin Slaughter is the #1 internationally bestselling author of several novels, published in over 25.000.000 copies and translated in 30 languages. “Triptych” and “Martin Misunderstood” are the first two works published by Hardcover & Paperback, from a total of ten novels of Mrs. Slaughter.

“Triptych delivers the breathless tension that’s a hallmark of Slaughter’s work... Fascinating and appealing... As with most of Slaughter’s books, the ending contains enough slam-bang action to keep you pinned to your seat.” — San Francisco Chronicle

Kari Nars is a well-known European financial expert. Previous financial roles include the Chairman of the Council of Europe Bank and senior banking positions in Washington D.C., London, Paris and Helsinki. He has worked as the Director International of Finland’s Central Bank, Director of Finance of the Ministry of Finance and Managing Director of the Bank of Helsinki.

In the fascinating “Swindling Billions,” Kari Nars analyses ten of the world’s most extraordinary financial swindles. The readers will also find out how in 1925, the illustrious crook Victor Lustig managed to sell the Eiffel Tower for a suitcase of cash to a Parisian scrap merchant, or how the same character met Al Capone.
