Key Report Findings
• New scheduled foreclosure auctions decreased 6% in October 2011 compared to the previous month and dropped 76% compared to October 2010.
• First-time foreclosures in the Bronx recorded a 46% decrease over September 2011, Brooklyn foreclosures
were down 27%, Queens foreclosures were down 11%, while Manhattan foreclosures increased 22%.
• Co-op foreclosures comprised 48% of the total number of first-time foreclosures in NYC, but recorded a 43% drop over October 2010.
